After five long days of driving, we were very excited to arrive at our new house in Virginia, on Monday. We just couldn’t wait to check out our new rooms and run up and down the hill in our backyard.
Since Alexandria is close to D.C., it’s a much bigger city than we’ve lived in before. There is a lot more traffic than we’re used to, but we are also close to the museums and landmarks we’ve been looking forward to seeing.
Alexandria also has more trees than El Paso, and we are still getting used to the fact that it rains regularly in most of the world.
We started unpacking our boxes on Wednesday (they arrived Tuesday) and we’ve already made a lot of progress! Our new house is already starting to feel like home.
