Drawing from real life often helps to develop techniques and learn how to draw everyday objects. Today, I will be sharing some of the drawings I’ve done from real life. I’ll also share some tips for drawing from real life.
People are one of the hardest – and most fun things to draw. Drawing real people is a challenge because your focus is probably going to be different than when you’re creating the image yourself. Try not to concentrate too hard on getting the person’s facial features just right. Pay attention to one particular characteristic and make it stand out.
Stuffed animals and mini – figures are great to practice on.
For example, you probably don’t have bears in your backyard, right? Well, if you wanted to draw a bear you could use an image on the internet as a visual aid or you could practice on your stuffed animal bear.
Above are drawings of objects, you’ll probably find all around you. If practice drawing normal objects in your living room, kitchen, bedroom, or office; you can draw them at a smaller scale in a scene. You can draw a table with people sitting around it, two girls chatting the night away in a lamp-lit bedroom, or a display of mugs in a store. The possibilities are endless.
