Dear Reader,
It can be hard to find the best time to write.
While I can’t tell you when is the best time for you, I hope that hearing how I found the right time for me to write, will help you find yours.
During November, I had to find a consistent time that worked throughout the month. I started writing at 7 in the morning. Eventually, it started taking longer for me to hit my word count goal, so I had to write in the afternoon too.
By the end of the month, I was writing from 7:00-8:30 in the morning and then from 6:00 pm until I got my goal (usually 7 or 8).
Now that I’ve transitioned from writing to revising, my schedule is laxer. I do still try to write at 7 in the morning, but I don’t always write in the afternoon since I don’t have a word count goal.
I’m also making it a priority to do something creative such as drawing or writing a poem at three after I finish my schoolwork. It helps to keep the inspiration alive during the editing phase.
When do you write? Comment below to let me know. I would love to chat with you about it.
Thanks for reading, friend!
Yours,
Elizabeth Anne Andrews
