This fist is inspired by John Carlos, who raised a black-gloved hand at the Olympics to protest racism.
It is used by the worldwide movement, BLACK LIVES MATTER, as a symbol of solidarity in the fight against racism.
Show your support for the movement by drawing the logo, a black-gloved fist.
Remember, this is not about getting a perfect drawing, rather showing your support for an important movement and also using your creativity in a fun way.
Note that this tutorial is different from my other ones in that I am not describing every step in detail. The pictures are pretty self-descriptive and I’d rather not confuse you by describing the shape and angle of every line.
Here’s what you need to draw the BLACK LIVES MATTER fist logo.
- a pencil
- a paper
- a black colored pencil
- an eraser (just in case)
Once you’ve gathered the above materials, you’re ready to get started. Happy drawing!
Step 1: Draw the wrist.
Step 2: Draw the thumb.
Step 3: Draw the palm.
Step 4: Draw the fingers.
Step 5: Color it in!
Let’s Talk: Did you complete this tutorial? How did it go? Do you have any recommendations for future tutorials?
