I’d like to build us a fortress
We’ll be an Ancient Greek temple
Though centuries pass we’ll remain
In broken sculptures and portraits
If it were only that simple
What we molded would maintain
History books would tell legends
How we built an Acropolis
And wrote our names in marble
Teachers would give boring lessons
At schools in a metropolis
And our faces they would garble
But none would forget we were here
Or how we fought with Minotaurs
And won every conquest
Defeating and facing our fear
Became the ones no one ignores
Even if we got it wrong best
